The present paper studies the importance of financial education at both individual and social level. Although there are studies that show the benefits, this is neither justified nor reflected in the educational curriculum. Concern about the lack of economic education has increased in recent years, although the continuous changes in educational laws, characterized by greater rigidity and less freedom for the centers, make the whole process of learning economics difficult. The obligation to adhere to the educational laws regarding content, it demands to look for alternatives and to improve those aspects that depend on teaching work, as is the case of the methodology.
